Immerse yourself in the marvellous Clongrennane woodland in County Carlow, on this lush 4km loop in Ireland’s Ancient East.
Part of a townland straddling the border of Counties Laois and Carlow, the picturesque Clogrennane Wood Loop takes just one hour to complete.
An easy walk over a gentle slope, the terrain consists of forest roads and woodland tracks, crossing pleasant bridges and trickling streams.
The trail zig-zags uphill slightly, where magnificent views of Carlow Town and the mighty River Barrow open up.
After your revitalising forest loop, head back to Carlow Town for a bite to eat or a cup of coffee.
