The 36th Galway Film Fleadh will present a programme of high quality films and events, provide a platform for indigenous Irish film alongside international cultural cinema and support film artists in the development/presentation of their work.
In 2024, the Galway Film Fleadh will curate a programme of feature films in sections that include, new Irish films, architecture on film, artist on film, world cinema and music on film with attention to presenting diverse film artists and content. The festival will present an Irish language strand where they will partner with Irish language film artists and the Cine4 scheme. The short film programme will screen over 100 new short films and present three Academy Award nominating Awards for Best Fiction, Documentary and Animation.
The Galway Film Fleadh programme provides an opportunity for the local community and visitors alike to experience a curated film programme that they may not see in cinemas.
