Ankr Becomes First RPC Provider to the Aptos Blockchain

Ankr has added another accomplishment to its already diverse profile by becoming one of the first RPC providers to the Aptos Blockchain. It is the world’s leading Web3 infrastructure-providing firm, servicing over fifty proof-of-stake chains and boasting the industry’s best RPC aggregator and global node delivery system.

What is an RPC?

For your information, a Remote Procedure Call or RPC encourages enhanced interaction between applications over a blockchain. The partnership between Aptos Blockchain and Ankr would allow developers to create scalable, safe, and upgradable dApps.

Why Ankr Partnered with Aptos?

In its press release, Ankr noted that it was ‘excited’ to become an early supporter of Aptos because it will make it easier for developers to start creating apps on the ecosystem with an RPC.

The company explained that Aptos is a “safe and scalable Layer-1 blockchain, developers can now access Aptos Testnet Community and Premium RPCs, make request calls, and receive information returns that mirror the results they would get by running an Aptos full node by themselves.”

What Services will Ankr Offer to Aptos?

Ankr’s Aptos testnet RC will connect command-line interfaces, wallets, and dApps with the Aptos Blockchain and serve as a blockchain router/messenger for relaying on-chain info between Aptos nodes, dApps, and end users. This would help them perform routine tasks like populating wallet balances and transactions and obtaining ownership data much faster.

Ankr will offer a geo-distributed and decentralized Aptos RPC to strengthen its global Aptos network. This will comprise several independent blockchain nodes running worldwide to ensure reliable connection and low latency.

After this partnership, Ankr has become an RPC provider to nineteen blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche.

A New Beginning….

Ankr’s head of product Josh Neuroth wrote that this is only the beginning and Ankr will certainly attract more demand following the highly anticipated ‘mainnet launch.’ after mainnet goes live, the company will start adding docs, tools, and features to help Web3 developers streamline app building.

Undoubtedly this partnership is vital for Ankr since Aptos is fast becoming a sought-after network that aims to bring advancement and scalability to Web3. Apps created in its testnet recorded more than 160,000 transactions per second (TPS) due to effective upgrades such as Block-STM and parallel execution engine.
