Google Buys Cyber Security Firm Mandiant for $5.4 Billion

Mandiant will be integrated into the Google Cloud unit.

The search engine and technology giant Google has announced acquiring Mandiant, Inc. for $5.4 billion. For your information, Mandiant is a United States-based leading provider of cybersecurity and threat intelligence.

According to a joint press release issued by Mandiant and Google, Mandiant will be integrated into the Google Cloud unit.

In December 2013, Mandiant was acquired by FireEye for $1 billion, which sold it to Symphony Technology Group for $1 billion in June 2021. As of now, Mandiant has cyber security professionals in 22 countries, who serve customers located in 80 countries.
