Millions of Hacked Stratfor E-mails published by WikiLeaks (Originally hacked by Anonymous)

WikiLeaks has posted over a million secret emails and passwords of US-based Intelligence firm Stratfor today; all the emails were gathered from Stratfor’s database. The firm has over 300,000 existing subscribers and has been known for its shadow connections with the CIA.

According to DailyMail, after the leaking of sensitive emails, the chance of secret information going in to public hand has increased while the Stratfor said in a statement that ”release of its stolen emails was an attempt to silence and intimidate it”. it had worked hard to build ‘good sources’ in many countries, ‘as any publisher of global geopolitical analysis would do.’

The leaked data can be acquired from the official website of  WikiLeaks

According to WikiLeaks, they have proof that the StartFor has deep links to large organizations and corporations, such as Lockheed Martin and Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co and several other companies, including the US Defense Intelligence Agency, US Department of Homeland Security and US Marines. However, WikiLeaks did not unveil its source name or how it gained access to the massive confidential data and external correspondence of the Austin, Texas Company, formally known as Strategic Forecasting Inc.

Julian Assange, WikiLeaks founder said: ‘Here we have a private intelligence firm, relying on informants from the U.S. government, foreign intelligence agencies with questionable reputations and journalists. ‘What is of grave concern is that the targets of this scrutiny are, among others, activist organisations fighting for a just cause.’

This is not the first time when Stratfor is under hack attack, last December the firm’s computers were hacked twice and credit card details of more than 30,000 subscribers were posted on the Internet.
