Princess Diana’s Elegance, A Royal Collection, runs 4-17 June at the Museum of Style Icons, Newbridge Silverware. Showcasing a large collection of the most luxurious gowns, suits, shoes, hats and handbags, owned and worn by the Princess which have not been seen for nearly 30 years, ahead of their auction in LA by Julien’s Auctions.
The exhibition features the Murray Arbeid Midnight Blue Gown that Princess Diana wore to the Premiere of The Phantom of the Opera in 1986, estimated to sell in excess of $400,000. Other key garments include the Victor Edelstein Evening Dress worn in 1987 for a performance of The Masked Ball and the Catherine Walker Skirt Suit worn in 1989 in Hong Kong.
