Shelling Hill/Templetown beach in County Louth, is a rural beach on the Cooley Peninsula and is a popular stretch of coastline. It is a sandy, sheltered beach protected on each side by low level rock promontories. The beach is suitable for young families and visitors to the beach can swim, walk, kite surf and take part in many other water sports and activities.
There is a car park and toilet facilities. The beach has a lifeguard on duty during the summer bathing season. More information can be found on the noticeboard at the beach.
