Strandhill Caravan and Camping Park is situated right at the famous beach of the same name in County Sligo. Strandhill is a Mecca for surfers from all around the world, while the flat sands of Culleenamore, just 2km away, are more suitable for family fun. A local golf club is within 500m, while shops, pubs and restaurants are even closer.
The park comprises 78 hard standings for caravans, all with electricity, as well as a large area for tent campers. The grass is on a sandy base and never becomes muddy in the rain. The toilet block includes showers, a chemical disposal unit and laundry room. Visitors will also find an Internet kiosk, TV and common rooms in the reception block.
Strandhill is the perfect destination for walkers, with stretches of sandy beaches and dunes to explore. Knocknarea Mountain, with its cairn, rises just behind the site. During their stay, guests can enjoy horse riding, visit the megalithic tombs at Carrowmore and explore Sligo Town, which is home to many attractions, such as a swimming pool and sports complex.
The park is open from April through September.
